They stole my arts

I created a campaign on Kickstarter call #ShorterForGreater. (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/670177093/shorter-for-greater)

I made 10 drawings to make postcards for this project.

There were 7 designs out of 10 I drew so far when Mott.pe took my drawings -- cropped and edited, translated to Spanish without asking me for permission.

On September 15th, 2015 had couple friend requested on facebook.

I ignored those friend requests because theirs were no mutual friend I know.

In somehow, on 16th felt like I should accept those requests. So I did.

Lucky or not, their activities had shown on my new feed that they liked a topic of drawing that looked just like mine but with Spanish words instead.

I was freaked out.

There were more that 7,5xx liked and over 3,2xx shared.

I never ever gain that much appreciations in my life.

Sadly, I still never get one because there was no credit referral to me.

Well, yes they did mention my name. But that's it. Just my name. No any other link where my project was funding. Nor my website (www.ornumap.com)

only few people so far that spend  their time to looked up for my name on facebook.

I was sad.

But I also tried to be positive. thousands of people like my drawing.  which is mean the messages I was trying to say is works.

So I created a facebook fanpage (https://www.facebook.com/oornuma) and contacted them in Spanish.

With hope that they will nice enough to help me gain some traffic since they used my arts without permission.

they read my messages.

So I went back to their page.

they did added my Kickstarter url but didn't repost it as my requested.

I was like, well whatever. screwed them.

They had more than 8,xxx likes and 3,7xx shares on the 19th. 3 days after I found out.

I couldn't stand of not thinking about how many people who re-shared this post from theirs peers.

It had been a month and I still couldn't get over with.

I wanted to do something. but I don't know how.

From the moment we are born, we are taught that the best accomplishment we can have is to be cute.

We hear it all the time. “Oh, that baby is cute!”

My name is Ornuma Panmunee. Aka oORn"

I draw people in my cartoony style. I’ve been drawing one person a day for years. One thing I’ve learned from this is that we’re all looking for love and connection.

These are 5 out of 10 postcard designs

In some way. I recently started the #ShorterForGreater campaign. I’m cutting my hair to donate to one of the organization. They use the hair to make wigs for people who are ill.

before and NOW

And I encourage others do the same. Cut your hair shorter to make a greater impact. We live in a culture where looks are highly valued. From selfies on Instagram to movie stars. Every one cares about how they look, even if we don’t like to admit it. That’s why I’m donating my hair. To help someone feel a little more comfortable in their shoes.

But I also want the world to stop focusing on looks so much.
I felt it when I decided to cut my hair shorter. I kept thinking about how ugly I’d look. And others think the same of shorter hair.  Especially women. For this campaign, I’ll send you a postcard with an inspirational quote. Right to your doorstep.

10 postcard designs feature women with short hair.

You can give your postcard to someone as a gift and let the message travel. I hope you’ll listen to the message. But most importantly, I hope you’ll do something with it.

** Update the 7th design

Keep calm and give me some extra mayo please

Beside the healthy reasons. Tell me, who doesn't like Mayonnaise?

I'm Asian and I do love Mayonnaise.

Thanks to whoever created Spicy Mayo.

However, putting mayonnaise into my hair made me feel like I'm a salad bowl; Delicious, creamy and UN-healthy salad bowl.

    Grease everywhere.

I live once. and I only tried once.

    I'm done with you, Mayo.

let have a drink.. or couple

Hey my dear, would you like to grab a beer and chillax? , I asked my hair.

My hair is over 21 (of course, we grow up together) so I won't mind if she want to have couple drink and we both can be relax.

I had heard of using beer to soften our beloved hair but I hadn't had any chance to do it. I was totally forgot about it. Until I did the research, beer is one of everyday object I can use in order to treat my hair.

I found a bottle of half full beer in my living room. Hell yeahhh~ let celebrate.

Internet said, mix 3 table spoons of beer with 1/2 cup of warm water. After you shampoo your hair, rub in the solution. Let it set for couple minutes. Then rinse it off.

    But that's not me.
All I knew was I had beer. I'm going to dump whatever had left into my hair. Since that was the old beer. No one want to drink it anyway. I don't like to waste the alcohol -- unless my hair can enjoy it.

I also do another way around.
I rubbed in that half bottle of beer to my hair. I left it set for over 30 minutes with grocery bag covering around my head.
It smells just like beer. (Of course!)
    Then shampoo it.

    I would say..
I LOVE IT!! So so much.
My hair was so soft and smooth.

Treating my hair with Beer is my favorite one so far.

I will definitely do it again.
(When I have some left over beer which rarely happened)

    Butter me up!

    Butter butter!

    Alright let do this!

I tried to buttering my hair up!

and it's super ewwww and greasy.

    it's not for me...

I cleaned my hair literally 3 times and my head still looked like a shinny pan.

it could be me that had done something wrong.

it could be me that massage too much chunks of butter over and over.

It could be me that cover my hair with a grocery bag instead of a shower cap for 30 minutes. (I'm being sarcastic now lol)

    Oh well,.

I like the smell tho. Made me want cupcakes.

Overall, after I went out with the most shiny hair I ever had, I ran back home and shampooing it for 2 more times! !

How I used Olive Oil To Strengthen My Hair.

I did some research online of how to treat my hair by using everyday object.

I got a bunch of surprising products I can use. Such as mayonnaise, butter, beer, tea, vinegar, and baking soda.

I started with Olive oil. I use it with my skin, hair or even use it as the make up remover all the time. But I never know that I should reheat it for a few seconds before use (That's what they said on the internet). Lol

So, I heated the olive oil, applied it to my hair. Wrap my hair with grocery bag. Then cover it with a towel.

I spent time in a bathtub for 45 minutes while let the olive oil do its job.

Then I rinsed it of by using shampoo for 3 time!! Because I knew how greasy it could be.

Overall, I don't think heating part is needed. The result was the same of didn't heat it.
As well as plastic bag, it wasn't give any much different if you're not using it.
(But it protects your furniture, clothes, etc away from oil.)

Yes, olive oil helps add moisturizer back into your hair. I alway make sure I have olive oil in my house. It's so useful and multifunctional. If you don't want to wait for 45 minutes, you can just put the olive oil to your hair and cover with the towel then just go to bed. I do that all the time.

Tip** if you have oily hair, don't be afraid to try Olive oil. I have oily hair too. All you have to do just make sure you shampoo you hair and rinse properly. I rinse my hair 3 times. :)))

Please try. You'll love the result.

    Alright, let the project begin

    I'm a girl with 23" Long hair

I'm an Asian girl with 23" long black hair.

This is my second time in my whole life that have hair this long.

Most likely My hair was barely pass shoulder length.

Last year, I did layers, It was a waste!

I regret that decision so much. I shouldn't have done that. it's not because I don't like to cut my hair but it's because I should have saved my hair for donation.

Now the short hair is calling me again. And I want it to be short hair with shaved sides!!

So yeahhh My hair can be valuable to someone who needed!

I'm planning to donate my hair for Locks of Love foundation.  10" healthy hair is the requirement. 23" is the longest length of my hair (8/1/15)

I dried my hair about 6 months ago.  It's quite in a just fine condition.  I want all the best to this donation; to sure my hair will being use.  So, I'm taking time to treating it for couple months.  To be sure my hair is nice and healthy, ready for Wig.
